SEPL is a sister concern to Quality Engineers Products, Thane which was established in 1982 and is still catering to its own Clientele.
SEPL also caters to Clients with Special Requirements such as fabrication of Pilot Plants, equipments for R&D / Testing etc.
SEPL also undertakes fabrication of Off-shore & Industrial Structures as required by Clients. We also undertake work on Labour Basis to suit Client’s requirements & feasibility.

She is a mother, a homemaker and also the Managing Director of SEPL. With a God gifted control over finances, she has been successfully managing all accounts in SEPL and is also a business partner in Quality Engineering Products.
Director – Mr. K. A. KoshyAt the age of 19 he began his career in fabrication by working in Vijay Tanks & Vessels. Progressing graciously he established Quality Engineering Products in 1982 and started Steelcons Engineers Pvt. Ltd. in 1999. With a rigorous and extremely hardworking attitude, he has developed a strong name in his field of work.
Design & Planning – Mr. Belson KoshyMr. K.A. Koshy’s son, he joined SEPL in 2004. From being a Trainee to managing Design & Planning, he still feels he is a thousand miles away from his father’s experience, wisdom and understanding.

Raw Materials & Bought-out items are ordered & purchased according to the requirement of the job. The excess material is maintained as stock in our shop plate yard with co-relating Identification markings and Mill / Test Certificates. Pipes are also stored separately in our shop with co-relating Identification markings and Mill / Test Certificates.
Bought-out items such as Flanges, Fittings, Fasteners etc. are purchased according to the requirement of each equipment that is manufactured at our Works. Smaller items and few standard items are maintained as stock in our Store Room and a Stock Register is maintained.
Welding electrodes of different sizes and material are also maintained as stock in our Store Room. Electrodes are maintained at Re-drying temperatures (@ 350°C for 1 Hour OR @ 250°C for 2 Hours) and thereafter at Holding temperatures (@ ~ 60°C) in Stationary as well as Portable Owens.
Tools and Consumables such as Grinding & Cut-off wheels, Gloves, Goggles, Helmets etc. are stored in our stores and issued according to requirement. Minimum quantity is always maintained so that fabrication work never suffers due to unavailability of Materials.
All incoming raw material (Plates, Pipes, Bars etc) undergo visual and dimensional checks by our Quality Control team. Co-relating Heat Mark Nos. on the material are verified with reference to the material test certificates before accepting it. If material is received without co-relating test certificates, samples are drawn and check tested at recognized test laboratories before accepting the material into stock. Materials that do not meet the requirements of specifications are returned to the suppliers with our rejection note.
Records of Welding Procedure Specification, (WPS) Welding Procedure Qualification (PQR) and Welders Performance Qualification (WPQ) etc. are properly documented and preserved. Similarly all Stage-wise Inspection records, NDT reports, Heat Charts, Hydrostatic Test Certificate etc. as applicable for the equipment are maintained in the respective equipment’s inspection file.
When a Third Party Inspection is involved then all of the above stages are performed in the presence of a Third Party Inspection Engineer and as per mutually agreed Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).

We have licensed version of PVElite for Design of Pressure Vessels as per ASME Sec. VIII Div.1 and Heat Exchangers as per TEMA & ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1. We can also design equipment in various codes as per Clients specification/requirement. We have designed and fabricated Vessels, Reactors, Heat Exchangers in various other international codes such as IS 2825, Ad-MerkBlatter, BS 5500 and Storage Tank as API 620, API 650, IS 803 etc. We have licensed versions of AutoCad for drafting.
We carry out design and drafting of P&I Diagram/General Layout drawing for Chemical Dosing Systems with all instrument connections, pumps, motor etc. which are used in Oil and Chemical plants for feeding chemicals. We have manufactured and supplied the same as a total system, based on our Client’s requirement.
